I must say that the 2013 Mountaineering trip was more than I expected, more than most expected I think. This past May long weekend the Section once again held its annual Thrashers climbing weekend. Mary-Anne and her son Dominic and they wanted to thank the volunteers for the experience they had on the recent Thrashers weekend.
Karla and I made a trip to Bozeman Montana, to climb in the famous Hyalite Canyon, which is a half hour drive from Bozeman’s downtown. Hyalite is known as the ice-playground of big names such as Alex Lowe, Conrad Anker, and Jack Tackle. Hyalite’s reputation bred high hopes, but our trip exceeded them.
