This was my first time attending an Alpine Club of Canada (ACC) Saskatchewan Section Mountaineering Camp, it was a wonderful learning experience full of excitement and adventure.

On the evening of August 31, 2013, eight mostly-strangers met at a dimly-lit hostel in the heart of Yoho National Park. The group was preparing to hike up to one of the protected sites of the Burgess Shale, a fossil site home to some of the best-preserved organisms that lived over 500 million years ago.
This past May long weekend the Section once again held its annual Thrashers climbing weekend. Mary-Anne and her son Dominic and they wanted to thank the volunteers for the experience they had on the recent Thrashers weekend.
