This is the Section’s annual ice climbing trip and it generally takes place on a weekend in February.
Most Choppers weekends have been based in the area around Nordegg, AB but a few have recently been held in the Canmore, AB area.
Beginners are welcome!
Gear is either rented or loaned and experienced trip leaders will guide and teach you throughout the weekend on how to climb efficiently and safely. If you have never swung an ice tool before that is okay, by the end of the weekend you will be calling yourself an ice climber.
